Tuition Bag Hannan

This simple bag is made specially for my little Hannan @ 12 yrs old, for her to put all her tuition books. 

I used Canvas Fabric for the outer body, Japanese Cotton for the lining, hard stabilizer to give the sturdy look of the bag and not to forget a snap button as finishing.

Measurement @ 13" x 9.5" x 2.5", strap length @ 33"

Backpack # 02

I've been wanting to sew my own backpack with my own design / fabrics.  Alhamdulillah, managed to get it done yesterday.  

Some of the materials used to make this backpack @Thick canvas fabric, Japanese Cotton Lining, 240gm iron-on batting, complete bag hook with adjustable cotton handle and not to forget the snap on button for the pocket.

Tutorial # 01 Cosmetic Pouch

Need to create your own cosmetic pouch but do not know where to start from??  Hope this simple step-by-step pictures will be able to give you some idea.

Backpack # 01

It took me almost 1/2 day to complete this backpack.  Large pocket with magnetic button flap.  Using Thick Japanese Linen as main body and Japanese Light Weight Cotton for the lining.

Measurement @ 12" x 11" with  4.5" x 7.5" (backpack bottom)

Pencil Case @ Ultraman

Tuition Bag & Pencil Case

This bag is made specially for my beloved son, Aiman (A).  Can be used as tuition bag, overnight bag or messenger bag.

I used designer fabric bought from Phoebe's blog at http://macchiatohandmade.blogspot.com/ , you can find rare designs like one that I've chosen for this bag and matching pencil case.

The fabric is named Stargazers by Robert Kaufman.

Item required to complete the bag and pencil case:-

• 3/4 mtr outer (fabric of your choice)
• 3/4 mtr lining (fabric of your choice, in my case I used Japanese Plain Cotton)
• 3/4 mtr 240gm iron-on cotton batting (bought from Mimosa, http://craftybuddy.blogspot.com)
• Cotton handle (in my case, I used the existing handle from my old overnighter bag), you need at least 1 meter of cotton handle + D-Ring / Bag Hook / Tri glide (if you want it to be adjustable handle)
• Zipper (for pencil case)
• Magnetic Button (for messenger bag flap closure)
• Linen Bias Tape (bought from Mimosa, http://craftybuddy.blogspot.com)

The messenger bag measured 14" x 10" x  4", the pencil case  10" x 4.5" (it's big but he can put all his stationeries in this case).

Printer Cover @ HP 3920

Alhamdulillah, finally managed to complete my printer cover using fabrics from own collection and also from scrap bag bought from Sue of  http://mybotangshoppe.blogspot.com

To complete this cover, I use patchwork for the outer cover and 1.4 mtr of Japanese Cotton for both side and lining.  With 240gm cotton batting as interlining.

Cosmetic Pouch

This sweet roses pouch is made using Cath Kidston Spray Flowers Oilcloth given by May of http://maymayshop.blogspot.com.  As finishing I added Japanese Cotton as lining, a short handle using Cotton Handle and Lace Zipper.

Thanks a lot May for giving me this oil cloth.  Love the pink roses.

This oil cloth is 100% water proof PVC fabric.
